The Road to Hana

I'll let these pictures speak for themselves...

Snorkeling

Snorkeling at Black Rock in Ka'anapali. Beautiful. Turtles as big as me. Striped eels. A million fish. Just beautiful.

Parasailing

Matthew, Viviene, Liz and I went parasailing on Friday morning while Justin went golfing at Ka'anapali. Parasailing is something I never thought I would do, as I don't really like heights, but it was so not scary, and I am so glad I did it. I would do it again in a heartbeat. It is so calm and quiet up there, it's amazing.

The Rehearsal Dinner

My brothers friends put on the most amazing meal for the rehearsal dinner. The menu included bacon wrapped scallops, chips with savichy-avocado dip, chicken papaya lettuce wraps, black bean salad, maui sweet potatoes, grilled coconut Ahi fresh from the boat, and the list goes on. It was fabulous, by far the best meal we had on the island. A huge thanks to Paulie for putting that altogether and making it so absolutely perfect for my brother.
The rehearsal was the first time we got to see the house where the wedding would be. It is exactly the house you would want if you lived on the beach in Hawaii.

Boogie Boarding- sort of

We rented boogie boards on the morning of the wedding, but we didn't have much luck finding any waves. We ended up just using them like rafts and paddling out. The visibility was awesome. Of course, Aidan just wanted to play in the waves, so Justin and I took turns with him on the shore. I was up with him and Justin had just reached Matthew, Liz and Jenn and Viviene when I heard one of them scream, and I could tell a couple of them were in the water. I had no clue what was going on, and I had Aidan so I couldn't swim out, but after a couple of minutes they all started swimming in together. As they got closer, I could tell Viviene was being brought in by Matthew. She had slipped off of her boogie board and pulled a shoulder muscle in the process. It was truly very scary. They all had to form a sort of train to get Matthew and Viviene and the boards back to shore. I thought that she had been stung by a jelly fish or something. That was the end of our Boogie Boarding adventure.

The Wedding

Seth and Dawns wedding was truly one of the most beautiful I have ever been to. The house was amazing- Tiger Woods is in the guest book, the coach of the Golden State Warriors owns it- the waves crashing right on the backyard, the flowers and palms- everything was amazing. They had a lei greeting for all of us which was such an amazing touch. As elegant as the wedding was, it was still so laid back, it was just an awesome evening. Congratulations Seth and Dawn!

Mini Album

This is the mini album I have been working on today with these cute new Imaginisce papers. I made it so I have a place to document all of the cute things my 4 1/2 year old says. Inspired by Kristin's kids-isms LOL.
